The Plaza at Solana was one of twelve semifinalist projects recognized in the category of Looking Back (completed before 2021): Landscape, Urban Design and Public Space projects of the last 25 years. Read MoreWe are excited to announce that Qiuming Li has joined DELINEATOR this year as a full-time landscape designer. She was a Summer and Fall design intern in 2022 in Dallas and has been a key member on many of our projects including the Waco Brazos Gateway, Cottonwood Creeks, Sky City and the Houston Healing Garden. We are excited to continue collaborating and working together. Qiuming will be working in the Charlottesville DELINEATOR office while also traveling to Texas and the Dallas DELINEATOR office for site visits, client meetings, and community engagement.

Yulei delights in aligning sites with visible phenomena and invisible systems behind them to develop dynamic designs that are meaningful to people and the land. She joins our studio this summer to assist on key projects and participate in mentorship in international design projects, construction documentation and construction observation, and all aspects of DELINEATOR. Yulei will continue to work as a part-time intern through the fall semester remotely.

This week Lauren Fasic and Blane Potts visited the site to specifically locate the “Bosque” Trees on site which are 13 Cedar Elms grown in a nursery in North Texas nearby. The are large enough to provide a shady refuge under the grove on Day 1 of the opening.
Read MoreWhile working in Shanghai, China, co-founders, Lauren and Michael, met and began an on-going conversation on design, city-making, and the role of the landscape. These ideas were advanced through extensive work throughout China as well as travel together to other parts of Asia, Canada, and the US. The on-going conversation developed into a collaboration in 2012 when DELINEATOR was founded as an outlet for design experimentation focused on competition projects that eventually evolved into our full-time design office.
