Our Story: Shanghai to Texas

While working in Shanghai, China, co-founders, Lauren and Michael, met and began an on-going conversation on design, city-making, and the role of the landscape.  These ideas were advanced through extensive work throughout China as well as travel together to other parts of Asia, Canada, and the US.  The on-going conversation developed into a collaboration in 2012 when DELINEATOR was founded as an outlet for design experimentation focused on competition projects that eventually evolved into our full-time design office.

DELINEATOR takes advantage of the founders' complementary skill sets and experience and augments it with a network of talented colleagues in the US and around the world as a collaborative consultancy that allows us to serve all markets.  We continue to think big and deliver beyond expectations as it is foundational to our identity as a practice, but maintain the nimbleness and efficiency to serve a large range of clients and project budgets.

In 2017, we opened the DELINEATOR Design office in Downtown Dallas that allows us to actively serve the DFW community, while also having the ability to co-work physically in over 50 cities worldwide. In 2018, we found our office home near Turtle Creek, about 6 minutes from Downtown Dallas and a short walk to The Katy Trail. We are continuing to grow our work and team and would love to share our process with you.
